Six-speed Rotational Viscometer Method Of Use

2. Turn the outer drum to the left and remove the outer drum. Rotate the inner cylinder counterclockwise and push it upwards to fit the cone end of the inner cylinder. Be gentle in order to avoid deformation and damage of the instrument's inner shaft. Rotate the outer cylinder to the right and install the outer drum.

5. When the six-speed rotational viscometer rotates, gently pull the red handle of the shift lever and change the required speed according to the label.

6. Rotate the instrument at 300r/min and 600r/min. Observe that the outer drum is not allowed to swing. If there is swing, it should be stopped and reinstall the outer drum.

7. Rotate at 300r/min to check if the zero of the dial pointer is swinging. If the pointer is not at zero, check it.

8. Pour the freshly mixed drilling fluid into the sample cup to the engraved line (350ml) and place it on the tray immediately. Raise the tray so that the inner cup surface reaches the outer drum reticle.

9. Quickly adjust the measurement from high speed to low speed. After the reading of the dial is stable, record the readings under each speed ladder. The thixotropic fluid should be under a fixed speed ladder, cut for a certain time, and take the smallest reading. Precisely, it is also possible to quickly read the data after rapid stirring.

10. The test of the viscosity and shear stress of the sample and the calculation of the data are performed with reference to "Parameter Calculation" below.

11. After the test, turn off the power, loosen the pallet hand wheel and remove the sample cup.

12, gently left-handedly remove the outer drum, and rotate the inner drum counterclockwise vertically downward force, remove the inner cylinder.

13. Clean the outer drum and wipe it dry. Install the outer drum on the instrument. When cleaning the inner drum, use a finger to block the taper hole to prevent dirt and liquid from entering the chamber. The inner tube is placed in a fixed position inside the box.

14, measuring the torsion spring depends on the frequency of use of the instrument within 1 to 2 years of regular check.
